Sri Sri Tattva Pavanahara Churna Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side effects

Sri Sri Tattva Pavanahara Churna is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sri Sri Tattva Company. It is used in the treatment of flatulence, distention of abdomen, loss of appetite, anorexia.

Indication of Sri Sri Tattva Pavanahara Churna

Anaha – bloating, gaseous distension of abdomen
Adhmana – distention of abdomen
Agnimandhya – loss of appetite
Aruchi – Anorexia, lack of interest in food

Dose, Anupana

Dose: ½ to 1 teaspoon before food

Anupana: Warmwater, buttermilk, with water

How long to take?
This medicine is usually prescribed for a period of 1 – 2 months time.

Ingredients of Sri Sri Tattva Pavanahara Churna

Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 12 mg – Helps in normalizing bowel movements.
Dadima twak – Pomegranate – Punica granatum – 12 mg – improves digestion strength and taste.
Sati – Perfume ginger – Kaempferia galangal – 10 mg
Hapusa – Juniperus communis – 10 mg – Relieves abdominal colic pain.
Hingu – Ferula foetida – 6 mg – Restores normal movement of Vata, useful in bloating.
Jeeraka – Cumin seed – Cuminum cyminum – 6 mg – It is very good in treating digestive tract disorders.
Ajamoda – Ajowan seed – Trachyspermum ammi – 6 mg
Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 6 mg – It improves digestion strength and taste.
Krishna jeeraka – Nigella sativa – 6 mg
Saindhava Lavana – Rock salt – 5 mg – It improves taste.
Vida Lavana – Black salt – 5 mg
Vacha – Sweet flag (rhizome) – Acorus calamus – 4 mg
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 2 mg
Pippali moola – Long pepper root – Piper longum – 2 mg
Chavya – Piper cubeba – 2 mg
Chitraka – Leadwort – Plumbago zeylanica – 2 mg
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 2 mg – it improvesdigestive power.
Nadi hingu – Gardenia gummifera- 2 mg

With Other Medicine

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?

Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects and Precautions

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.                            
Seek your doctor’s advice for its use during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during the lactation period and in children for a limited period of a few weeks time.

  1. I parchased pawanhara churan and few more products directly from Art of living centre bangoluru while visiting on sep14 2022. Pawanhara churana is best and using regularly. All produsts are very nice and useful .
