Pain Kill Oil Benefits, How To use, Ingredients, Side Effects

Pain kill oil is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Anjani Pharmaceuticals. It is mainly used in treating rheumatoid arthritis and muscular pain.

Benefits and usage

Pain kill Oil Indications:
Rheumatoid arthritis, muscular pain, sciatica, sprains, sports injury, joints pain, gout, low back pain, spondylitis.
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,  
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain

Usage: It is applied on affected portion of the body and massage with light pressure  twice a day.

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thoroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Duration

How long to apply?
This medicine can be applied for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice. After that time, usually the dose is gradually reduced and the medicine is stopped in next 6 weeks of time.

Rasna – Pluchea lanceolata C.B
Kustha – Saussurea lappa – 300 mg
Katphal – Myrica nagi – 300 mg – It is an Ayurvedic herb, used for the treatment of swelling, intestinal worm, paralysis, joint pain, oral ulcer, diabetes and diarrhea.
Bharangi – Clerodendrum serratum – 300 mg – Used in gout, reduces inflammation.
Shukla Jeerak – Cuminum cyminum – 300 mg
Jyotismati – Celastrus paniculatus Willd – 300 mg
Vatsanabh – Aconitum ferox Wall. ex Syringe – 300 mg
Mustaka – Cyperus rotundus- 300 mg
Devadaru – Cedrus deodara -300 mg
Kupilu – Strychnos nuxvomica – 300 mg
Sarshapa – Brassica juncea – 300 mg –  It helps to improve warmth and joint flexibility
Dhattur beej – Seeds of Datura metel – 300 mg .
Saindhava lavan – Rock salt – 300 mg – It relives joint stiffness.
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 300 mg
Maricha – Piper nigrum – 300 mg
Pippali – Pippali longum – 300 mg
Karpur – Camphor – 1 gram
Dhattur patra – Datura metel – Leaves – 5 grams
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 5 grams
Nirgundi beej – Vitex negundo  – Seeds – 5 grams – It is a good muscle relaxant and pain relieving herb of Ayurveda.

Side effects

Pain kill Oil Side effects:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
This product is meant only for external application.
Consult your doctor for its usage during pregnancy.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Avoid accidental oral intake. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

How long does it take to start showing results?
Depends on the dosage and other products suggested with this. Usually 1 – 2 weeks time.

Can this be taken without consulting a doctor?
No. In many cases, this product alone might not work. More often this is given in combination with a few Ayurvedic medicines. Your Ayurveda practitioner will be the best judge to decide on those things.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
