Gloderm Syrup Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Gloderm Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Abhinav Pharmaceuticals. It is a blood purifier used to treat various skin manifestations. It is made of excellent Ayurvedic herbs such as red sandalwood, neem leaves, vetiver etc. 

Uses

Benefits of Gloderm Syrup:
Detoxifies & purifies blood to maintain healthy skin.
Effectively removes pimple, acne from within.
Anti-histaminic effect helps in management of allergic conditions such as allergic hives, dermatitis etc.
Useful in fungal skin infection, ring worm, jock itch etc.

Indications

Indication of Gloderm Syrup:
As a blood purifier in acne
Allergic Dermatitis
Urticarial
Eczema
Other skin blemishes

Dose and duration of use

Dosage of Gloderm Syrup:
10-20 ml twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Gloderm Syrup:
Each 5 ml contains –
Sariva – Hemidesmus indicus – 200 mg
Manjista – Rubia cordifolia – 100 mg
Nimba patra – Azadirachta indica – 100 mg
Patola – Tricosanthes dioica – 75 mg
Raktachandana – Pterocarpus santalinus – 50 mg
Haridra – Curcuma longa – 50 mg

Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 25 mg
Triphala – Embelica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica – 30 mg
Musta – Cyperus rotendus – 25 mg
Kiratatikta – Swertia chirata – 25 mg – Kiratatikta is a very famous Ayurvedic herb used mainly in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory conditions like fever, skin diseases etc. The word meaning of Kirata tikta is – utterly bitter.
Shatapatri – Rosa damascene – 25 mg
Usheera – Vetiveria zizanioides – 25 mg
Aragwadha – Cassia fistula – 20 mg – Aragvadha is an ancient Indian herb, widely used in the treatment of skin diseases and in constipation. Its botanical name is Cassia fistula and it belongs to Caesalpinioideae family. It is a tree that grows up to 25 – 30 feet.

Side effects

Side effects of Gloderm Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
