Gasex Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Himalaya Herbal Healthcare. It improves digestion and relieves gaseous distension, bloating and gastritis.
Indications
Indication of Gasex Tablet:
For symptomatic control and relief of – dyspepsia, indigestion, flatulence, abdominal distension and belching.
For pre-radiographic bowel preparation for abdominal x-ray.
For abdominal discomfort in the post-operative period and during prolonged immobilization.

Mode of action
Mode of action of Gasex Tablet:
Renormalizes the intestinal transit time.
Have prebiotic, anti-flatulent, antacid, anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory, hepato-protective, cholagogue and membrane modulating, anti-microbial and anti-oxidant action.
Dose
Dosage of Gasex Tablet: 2 tablets twice a day after meals, or as directed by the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Each tablet contains powders of –
Prativisha – Aconitum palmatum – 65 mg – It is an Ayurvedic herb, especially used in diseases of children. Charaka has declared – Of all the herbs having digestive, carminative, absorbent and Tridosha balancing properties, Ativisha is the best.
Kapardika bhasma – 32 mg
Shankha bhasma – 32 mg – Shankha Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine prepared from Conch shell. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of gastritis, abdominal pain, malabsorption syndrome etc.
Maricha – Piper nigrum – 19 mg
Extracts of –
Vidanga – Embelia ribes – False Black Pepper 22 mg – Vidanga is one of the powerful anti-parasitic herbs of Ayurveda. It is widely used against intestinal worm infestation. It is called False black pepper because it mimics pepper in appearance.
Triphala – Embelica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica – 22 mg
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – Ginger 22 mg
Side effects
Side effects of Gasex Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
