Fetone Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Fetone Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shree Dhanwantari Herbals. It is a restorative tonic for females useful in the treatment of Peri Menopausal disorders, infection of the uterus etc. 

Uses

Benefits of Fetone Syrup:
It relieves general weakness, back ache, stress and anxiety.
Helps to restore the balance between endocrine, emotion and nutrition.
It corrects ovarian and uterine dysfunction.
Regulates menstrual cycle and helps conception.
It corrects menopausal disturbances.
It is a non-hormonal preparation, free from side effects.

Indications

Indication of Fetone Syrup:
Irregular menstrual cycles
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding
Anovulation
Menopausal syndrome

Dosage

Dosage of Fetone Syrup:
1-2 tsp thrice a day for 4-6 menstrual cycles.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Fetone Syrup:
Each 5 ml contains –
Asoka – Saraca indica – 200 mg
Lodhra – Symplocos racemosa – 200 mg
Ashwagandha – Wihania somnifera – 100 mg
Rasona – Allium sativum – 100 mg
Dasamoola – 100 mg – group of 10 roots
Triphala – Embelica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica – 60 mg
Bala – Sida cordifolia – 50 mg
Vata -Ficus benghalensis – 50 mg – Banyan tree – Ficus benghalensis is an Ayurvedic plant for the treatment for wounds, skin diseases, eye diseases, leucorrhea, diabetes and diarrhea. It is called Vata in Ayurveda.
Shatavari -Asperagusracemosus – 50 mg
Anantamoola -Hemidesmusindicus – 30 mg
Mocharasa – Salmalia malabarica – 30 mg
Raktachandana – Pterocarpus santalinus – 30 mg
Amramajja – Magnifera indica – 20 mg – seed kernel of mango. There are very less medicinal trees as versatile as Mango. Unripe, sour, sweet mangoes, mango bark, leaves, root, seed, flower – each of these have different medicinal qualities.
Jatamamsi – Nardostachys jatamansi – 20 mg
Chitrakamoola – Plumbago zeylanica – 20 mg
Musta – Cuperus rotundus – 20 mg
Nishothar – Zingiber officinale – 20 mg

Side effects

Side effects of Fetone Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
