Farid DS Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Farid DS Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Akshay Pharma Remedies. It is the anti-obesity medicine. Useful to reduce belly fat and weight. 

Indications

Indication of Farid DS Tablet:
Obesity
Over weight
Adjuvant in diabetes and infertility/depressed libido

Dose

Dosage of Farid DS Tablet:
2 tablets twice a day after meals with warm water or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Farid DS Tablet:
Each coated tablet contains –
Agnimantha – Premna mucronata – 150 mg
Medohara vidangadi lauha – 150 mg
Triphala guggulu – 150 mg – Triphala Guggul is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine used for the treatment of obesity, piles and fistula.

Micronized & potentised with-
Agnimantha – Premna mucronata – 100 mg – Agnimantha is a medicinal tree. Agni means fire. Mantha means churning. Its wood pieces was rubbed with each other to generate fire in ancient times. It is one among Dashamoola group of herbs. (Group of ten roots).
Kanchanara – Bauhinia variegata – 100 mg – Kanchanara is a famous Ayurveda herb. Its fame comes from being an important ingredient of Kanchnar Guggul, an Ayurvedic tablet. It is a tree, growing commonly in India. Its botanical name is Bauhinia variegata / Bauhinia purpurea Linn. It belongs to Caesalpinioideae family.
Gomutra – Cow’s urine – q.s. – Cow urine is widely used for many health problems in India since many centuries. Cow is seen as a sign of spirituality and hence cow urine is also used in devotional practices as well.

Side effects

Side effects of Farid DS Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
