Evon Capsule, Syrup Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Evon Capsule and Syrup are the proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Tulsi Pharmaceuticals. These are the uterine tonics used to treat menstrual disorders. 

Indications

Indication of Evon Capsule & Syrup:
Dysmenorrhea
Menorrhagia
Irregular periods
Leucorrhoea

Dose

Dosage of Evon Capsule –
1 capsule twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Dose Of Evon Syrup:
2 tsp twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Each capsule contains –
Asoka – Saraca indica – 150 mg
Lodhra – Symplocos racemosa – 75 mg
Shatavari – Asperagus racemosus – 50 mg
Amrabeeja – Magnifera indica – 50 mg
Manjista – Rubia cordifolia – 50 mg
Gairika – Red ochre – 50 mg
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 25 mg
Shalmali – Salmalia malabarica – 25 mg
Nagakeshara – Mesua ferrea – 25 mg – Nagkesar is a very famous Ayurvedic herb used in treating fever, vomiting, urinary tract disorders, migraine etc. It is one among Chaturjata group of herbs. It is used as in powder form along with other spices, and put into many herbal jams including Chyawanprash.

Ingredients of Evon Syrup –
Each 10 ml of syrup contains –
Asoka – Saraca indica – 150 mg
Lodhra – Symplocos racemosa – 150 mg
Swetachandana – Santalum album – 60 mg
Dhataki – Woodfordia fruticosa – 60 mg
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 60 mg
Nagakeshara – Mesua ferrea – 60 mg
Jeeraka – Cuminum cyminum – 60 mg
Aparajita – Clitoria ternatea – 50 mg – Aparajita is an ancient Indian medicinal herb. Its botanical name is Clitoria ternatea. It is mainly used as a brain tonic. It belongs to Fabaceae family. It is known as Dintena in Telugu and Koyala in Hindi.
Haritaki – Terminalia chebula – 50 mg
Amalaki – Embelica officinalis – 40 mg
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 40 mg
Shatavari – Asperagus racemosus – 40 mg
Musta – Cyperus rotendus – 40 mg
Manjista – Rubia cordifolia – 40 mg
Musali – Chlorophytum borivilianum – 40 mg
Yastimadhu – Glycyrrhi zaglabra – 40 mg
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 40 mg
Vasaka – Adathoda vasica – 30 mg

Side effects

Side effects of Evon Capsule & Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
The syrup is to be avoided in diabetic patients due to its sugar content.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
