Di-Givin Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Baidyanath Herbals Pharmaceuticals. It tones up digestion & boosts immunity.

Benefits of Di-Givin Syrup:
With Aloe extracts – The importance of bitter foods is well understood for the general well-being & toning of liver. Di-Givin contains well established herbal drugs, which have found acceptance all over the world for their therapeutic benefits, owing to the bitter substances present in them. In digestion liver plays a very important role, especially in metabolism of fats. Di-Givin is an effective liver tonic which stimulates & maintains the production and flow of bile. It improves digestion and appetite, giving the feeling of well-being and sustained energy all day long.

It is an ideal digestive tonic – Irregularities in diet, consumption of fast food and stressful lifestyle coupled with mental tension results in digestive problems like –gases, anorexia, dyspepsia, constipation etc. If functioning of the digestive system gets disturbed, accumulation of toxins occurs in the body, due to which health of person gets affected. Liver plays an important role in digestion in Ayurveda, it is described that ‘tiktarasatmaka’ herbs tones up the function of liver or digestive system. Di-Givin is a mixture of valuable ‘tiktarasatmaka’, hence it is an excellent tonic for digestive system. Its health benefits improve quality of daily routine, increases the working capacity and boosts immunity.

Impaired metabolism

Dose and Precaution

Dosage of Di-Givin Syrup:
2-4 tsp twice a day with equal quantity of water after meals, or as directed by the physician.
In case of loss of appetite- It can be taken 10 min before meals with equal quantity of water.
For patients who have mild stomach ache during digestion process with loss of appetite can take this medicine 10 min before meal with 1 cup of water.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

As with any other drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek medical advice before taking this product.

Ingredients of Di Givin Syrup:
– 22.20 mg – Yavasa is an Ayurvedic herb, used mainly in the treatment of obesity, skin diseases and Pitta conditions.
Swarnapatri – Cassia angustifolia – 16.66 mg – Indian Senna – Markandika: Cassia angustifolia is an Ayurvedic herb more popularly known as Senna. It is mainly used as a blood purifier, laxative- for relieving constipation and to treat skin diseases. It is also known as Swarnapatri in Sanskrit.
Guggulu – Commiphora myrrha – 5.33 mg
Kalamegha – Andrographis paniculata – 22.20 mg
Katuki – Picrorrhiza kurroa – 22.20 mg
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 22.20 mg
Kumari – Aloe barbadensis – 40.00 mg
Water – q.s.

Pharmacology

Pharmacology of Di-Givin Syrup:
Kumari – It is used in hepatitis, constipation and flatulence. Useful in the enlargement of liver & spleen, stomach ache and constipation.
Kalamegha – The leaves possess anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used in treating dysentery, diarrhea, enteritis and hypertension. It tones up the liver.

Katuki – It is laxative, carminative, anti-inflammatory, cardiac tonic and purgative in large doses. It is effective in burning sensation, constipation, inflammation, jaundice and hemorrhoids and in general debility.
Guduchi – Acts as an anti-oxidant, bitter, astringent, digestive, rejuvenating in nature. It is a good appetizer and immuno-modulator.
Hirabol – The plant is bitter in taste, acrid and astringent. Act as a digestive, carminative, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, antiseptic, stimulant and tonic. Useful in vitiated condition of stomatitis, dyspepsia etc.

Contraindications and side effects

Contra-indication of Di-Givin Syrup:
 Diabetic patient should take this medicine under medical supervision.

Side effects:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
