Dermotone Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Dermotone Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Anjani Pharma. It is used in the treatment of acne & pimples. It is an effective blood purifier. 

Indication

Indication of Dermotone Syrup:
Acne, Pimples, Boils
Dermatitis, Dermatophytosis
Skin blemishes
Scabies
Ring worm
Carbuncles
Gout
Urticaria

Dose and duration of use

Dosage of Dermotone Syrup:
Children – 1 tsp twice or thrice a day.
Adults – 2-3 tsp  2-3  times a day.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Ingredient of Dermotone Syrup:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains –
Kiratatikta – Swertia chirayita – 125 mg
Mundi – Sphearanthus indicus – 125 mg – It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of pain, localized swelling, indigestion, headache, cough, elephantiasis, goiter, skin diseases and to improve the sexual vigor.
Manjista – Rubia cordifolia – 125 mg
Shirisha twak – Albezia lebbeck – 125 mg
Parpata – Fumaria indica – 125 mg – Parpataka is an effective Ayurvedic herb used in fever, high Pitta conditions such as fever, gastritis, diarrhea, excessive thirst etc. Its famous herbal remedy – Shadanga Paneeya (drink made out of six herbs) is used in treating fever and associated thirst.
Kanchnar panchanga – Bauhinia variegata – 250 mg
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 250 mg
Nimba – Azadirachta indica – 250 mg
Sugar – q.s.
Water – q.s.

Side effects

Side effects of Dermotone Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
This product is not suitable for people with diabetes, as it contains sugar.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
