Tamradi Gutika – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Tamradi Gutika is an Ayurvedic collyrium medicine, used in the treatment of corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, glaucoma etc. This medicine is based on Kerala Ayurveda principle. This should be used strictly under medical supervision. 

Tamradi Gutika uses: It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, galucoma, Opthalmia neonatorum, early stage of cataract, etc.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata, Pitta and Kapha in the eyes.

Tamradi Gutika dosage:
It is applied as a paste or collyrium on the inner side of the eyelids.

How long to use? 
It can be used for a period of  1 – 2 months, based on doctor’s advice.

Tamradi Gutika side effects: 

Its usage in higher dose, or without medical supervision may cause eye irritation. In such case, wash your eyes thoroughly with sufficient quantity of water and call your doctor.

Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in cool dry place.

Tamradi Gutika ingredients, how to make:
Tamra Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Copper – 16 g
Yashti – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 14 g
Kushta – Saussurea lappa – 12 g
Vacha – Acorus calamus – 10 g
Saindhava Lavana – Rock salt – 8 g
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 6 g
Aja Ksheera – Goat milk – 3.072 liters
The fine powder of above ingredients is triturated with goat milk and tablets are prepared.
When needed, tablets are made into paste with honey and applied over the eyes.

Expiry date: Two years from the date of manufacture. Once after opening the container, it is better to empty it within a month.
