Balvac Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Balvedics Pharmaceuticals. It is a non-habitual forming natural laxative preparation.

Ingredients of Balvac Capsule:
Each 800mg capsule contains extracts of –
Aragwadha [Cassia fistula] – 400 mg – Aragvadha is an ancient Indian herb, widely used in the treatment of skin diseases and in constipation. Its botanical name is Cassia fistula and it belongs to Caesalpinioideae family. It is a tree that grows up to 25 – 30 feet.
Haritaki [Termnalia chebula] – 400 mg – Haritaki fruit is one among The three, that constitute Triphala. It is a very famous rejuvenating herb. Its botanical name is Terminalia chebula and it belongs to Combretaceae family.

Uses, duration of use

Indication of Balvac Capsule:
Chronic constipation
Constipation due to various aetiologies like- piles, fistula
Cardiac patients
Radiological investigations.
Irritable bowel syndrome associated with Constipation – IBS C

How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 2 – 3 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.

Dose

Dosage of Balvac Capsule:
2 capsules at bed time with warm water, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Balvac Capsule:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It is best to avoid this product during pregnancy.
It can be taken during lactation period and in children, in lower doses.
Over dose may result in loose stools.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
