Please avoid using terms like dangerous and shake the very core belief on Ayurveda. How can this be dangerous when given in the right dosage and time. This has been giving tremendous results since the time of Siddas i.e thousands of years. As it is people are scared of our very own time tested jewels, please enlighten them from this wonderful platform which you have got instead of scaring them.

  6. SabinaVibino says:

Ayurvedic drugs are never dangerous, self prescription is dangerous.Always take the consultation of a doctor. Remember the only difference between poison and medicine is the dose .paracetamol 1 to 2gm in a day works magic for fever. ….whereas 10 to 20 gm in a day will cause miserable death and the person suffers till he breath his last.Even people committing suicide with patacetamol(acetaminophen)would definitely regret, had they chosen this .Dose is very important. ARSHAKUTHARA RASA contains heavy mercury ,iron etc. Infact due to heavy metals ayurvedic drugs are banned in some country, some say it contains excess. Well I say GMP certified drugs(PROPER DOSE) and a well versed doctor (DOSE AS PER PATIENTeg .,weight)would solve the problem. Did you know that Ingestions of more than 50 mg/kg of elemental iron are associated with severe toxicity yet every doctor prescribe to pregnant woman but at the right dose. Also
If you fear you are taking mercury then did you know that you had taken before at the time your parents decided to strengthen your immune system because Mercury is used as a preservative (e.g., thimerosal) in medical preparations such as vaccines (influenza, hepatitis B, DPT). ALSO in your day to day life mercury usages are in ointments (ear medicines, hemorrhoid medication), contact-lens solutions and nasal sprays etc.
So friend…..Ayurvedic drugs are safe if used as prescribed and not as supplementary.
