  1. Disha Acharya says:

    Dear Doctor,

Can Raja pravartini vati tablets be taken to regulate cycles while trying to conceive?
I have PCOS and we are trying to conceive. My doctor told me to use Rajapravartini tablets only if my cycle gets delayed. But now that we are trying to conceive can I take this tablet anyhow, during every fourth week of the cycle so as to ensure that I get my next cycle on time. Is its safe to consume it during early stages of pregnancy, if by chance I end up getting pregnant and do not realize it.

    • Yes, it can be taken while trying to conceive. Ideally this tablet should only be taken in the last week of menstrual cycle, till the periods sets in.
This tablet needs to be stopped soon after conception is confirmed by urine test.
Make sure you use a good company product. (not locally made).

  2. I conceived by mistake, as I have 1 and half year of my baby and I dont want to continue that pregnancy. My last period date was Aug 17, 2013. Please guide if I can take this medicine to terminate my pregnancy. also let me know the dose.

Please replay me ASAP as I need to take step.

    Thanks

  3. I m having problem of cyst. This month ultra sound report says that my cyst is removed. i m taking birth control pills frm last 1 year. but now i m not having my periods properly. is this medicine is beneficial for me

  4. sir,iam having irregular menstrual cycle for past 6 years fom my 12th standard..now iam 24..6 years back I have used some pills to regularize but it dnt happen.recently I was diagnosed that I have multiple cysts surrounding both my ovaries.now iam using rajahpravarthanivati for pat 2 months….my ayurvedic doctor adviced me to take table continuously till I get my period.iam usin for 1 month, and I have not yet got my period…….will there be any side effect by continuous usage

    • Dear Monica, Yes. It is not ideal to use this continuously for more than a month time. While continuing Ayurvedic treatment, I also suggest you to consult a gynaecologist. Please note that a combination therapy of Ayurveda with Allopathy works best in case of multiple cysts.

  5. Sir, is there any side effect for rajapravrutini vati?

    • It cannot be used continuously for long term (more than 4 – 6 weeks).
usually it is advised in the last half of menstrual cycle and stopped once the periods sets in. Again, it is continued after 15 days.

  6. Nandini…in november 18th i got my periods..but this month still i didnt get..and i m married but pregnancy test comes negative..what should i taken..and hw many days i should take dis rajapravartini vati..within 1week did i get my periods..

    • I suggest you to consult a gynaecologist / Ayurveda doctor for your irregular periods health issue. I do not recommend taking Raja Pravartini without consulting a doctor in person.
