Indications of Swasacolyn Syrup:
Dry and spasmodic cough
Pharyngitis and trachea-bronchitis
Chronic bronchitis
Incessant/whooping cough
Adjuvant in relief of cough in eosinophilia
Adjuvant in allergic asthma/asthma therapy
Contra-indication of Swasacolyn Syrup:
It is not indicated in pregnant women.
Composition
Composition of Swasacolyn Syrup:
Each tea spoon contains-
Thalisadi choorna- 100 mg
Swasananda rasa- 35 mg
Pravala bhasma (Calx of coral)- 60 mg
Tankana bhasma (Borax)- 60 mg
Pippali (Piper nigrum)- 30 mg
Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- 60 mg
Kumari (Aloes indica)- 10 mg
Vasa (Adathoda vasica)- 200 mg
Thulasi (Ocimum sanctum)- 10 mg
Preservatives & base- q.s.
Mechanism of action
Justification for ingredients of Swasacolyn Syrup:
Thalisadi choorna, swasananda rasa & Pravala bhasma are anti-spasmodics and expectorants.
Thalisadi & Swetha maricha acts as mild antiseptics.
Madhuka & Tankana bhasma are anti-emetics.
Dose
Dosage of Swasacolyn Syrup:
Adults- 2 teaspoon 3 times daily
Children- 1 teaspoon 4 times daily
Infants- ½-1 tea spoon 3 times daily
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

It is not indicated in pregnant women.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
