Nilomit Tablet is an anti-emetic. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Jammi’s Ayurveda pharmaceuticals, Chennai.

Composition

Composition of Nilomit Tablet:
Each tablet contains-
Tankana bhasma (Borax)- 133 mg
Talisadi choorna – 67 mg
Abhraka bhasma (Calx of mica)- 67 mg
Triphala choorna – 133 mg
Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- 67 mg
Excepients – q.s.

Mechanism of action

Justification for ingredients of Nilomit Tablet:
The judicious combination of the ingredients of the product confirm on it, the properties of local sedative action on gastric mucosa, carminative and anti-emetic action with a mild antiseptic action.

Tankana bhasma– is a diuretic, antiseptic, antacid and a local sedative. Its anti-acid property prevents acid reflux and nausea.

Talisadi choorna– is a mixture of therapeutic ingredients like ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, long pepper and few others.The healing properties of these ingredients help to relieve flatulence and improve digestion. Excellent remedy for heart burns and nausea.

Triphala choorna– helps in cleansing the colon, flushing out toxins from the liver and strengthening the immune system. An excellent blood purifier as well

Dose

Dosage of Nilomit Tablet:
Adults- 2 tablets, 3 times daily.
Children- ½-1 tablet, 3-4 times daily.
Infants- ½-1 tablet, 2-3 times daily with honey or milk.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
