Vigatone Tonic – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Vigatone Tonic is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicines, manufactured by Ajmera Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. Indore. It is used in the treatment to gain weight, fatigue etc. 

Uses

Vigatone Tonic uses: As per the claims made by the manufacturer, it is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of general debility, anaemia, loss of appetite, fatigue, malnourishment, loss of weight.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Pitta

Dose and duration of use

Vigatone Tonic Dose:  
2 teaspoonful, 2 times a day,  after food or as directed by physician.

Children: 1 teaspoonful  twice a day, after food or as directed by physician.

How long to take?
It can be taken for upto 1 – 2 months based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Vigatone Tonic Ingredients:
Each 5 g contains
Ashwagandha – Winter cherry/ Indian Ginseng (root) – Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal. – 50 mg
Foeniculum vulgare – 80 mg
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn. – 800 mg
Ammomum subulatum – 20 mg
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus root – 50 mg
Gangeran – 80 mg
Jatamamsi – Nardostachys jatamansi – 20 mg
Abhraka Bhasma – Purified and processed Mica – 5 mg
Chandana – Sandalwood – Santalum album – 10 mg
Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron – 5 mg
Asalia – 80 mg
Syrup base – quantity sufficient.

Side effects and precautions

Side effects and precautions: 
It is better to take this medicine under strict medical supervision.
Children, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
Over-dosage may cause gastric irritation and toxic symptoms.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only. Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
