Coughcare Syrup uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of productive cough, asthamatic bronchtitis, spasmodic cough, dry and troublesome cough, acute and chronic bronchitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis.
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Kapha.
Dose and duration of use
Coughcare Syrup Dose:
- Adult 1-2 teaspoonful 3 times a day,
- children ½ -1 teaspoonful 3 times a day, as directed by physician.
How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1- 2 months, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Vasa – Malabar nut tree (root / whole plant) – Adhatoda vasica – 500 mg
Kateri – Solanum nigrum 500 mg
Bharangi – Root – Clerodendron serratum – 250 mg
Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia bellirica – 250 mg
Hamsaraja – Cymbopogan martini – 250 mg
Pushkaramoola – Inula racemosa – 250 mg
Yashtimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 250 mg
Tulsi – Holy Basil – Ocimum sanctum – 125 mg
Kasamarda- Cassia occidentalis – 125 mg
Karkatashrungi – Pistacia integerrima – 50 mg
Vacha – Acorus calamus – 50 mg
Shunthi – Ginger – Zingiber officinalis – 50 mg
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 50 mg
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 50 mg
Haridra – Turmeric rhizome – Curcuma longa – 50 mg
Tankana Bhasma – Borax – 25 mg
Pudina satwa – Menthol – 1.5 mg
Side effects and shelf life
Side effect:
Children, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Over-dosage or taking medicine for a longer period of time, than prescribed may cause hyperacidity.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
Expiry date: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
