Marichadi Gulika is a tablet, used in Ayurvedic treatment of diseases of respiratory conditions. Maricha means black pepper, which is the first ingredient of this medicine.
Benefits
Marichadi Gutika uses: It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of cough, cold, rhinitis, bronchitis and asthma.
Effect on Tridosha – balances Vata and Kapha.
Dose
Marichadi Gulika dosage: 1 – 2 tablets once or twice a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
How long to use?
It can be used for a period of 3 – 4 months.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side Effects
Long term use of this medicine may affect semen quality. It is better to use this medicine only for a few months of time. Seek doctors advice for long term use.
Since it contains jaggery, people with diabetes should take this medicine only under strict medical supervision.
Over dosage may cause burning sensation in stomach.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in cool dry place.

Marichadi Gulika ingredients, how to make:
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – Fruit – 12 g
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – Fruit – 12 g
Yava Kshara – Kshara of Barley – Hordeum vulgare – 6 g
Dadima – Pomegranate – Punica granatum – Fruit rind – 24 g
Guda – Jaggery – 96 g
Method of Preparation
Jaggery added with water is boiled to dissolve and then filtered. It is again boiled till it forms thick consistency. Fine powders of rest of the ingredients are added and mixed well to form homogeneous mixture. It is then rolled into tablets, dried and packed in a tightly closed container.

Expiry date
Two years from the date of manufacture. Once after opening the container, it is better to empty it before an year.
