Histantin Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Histantin Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Kerala Ayurveda Ltd. Histantin Tablet is a versatile combination of anti-allergic drug which improve the body’s defense mechanism by getting rid of accumulated toxins.

Histantin treats allergy without any side effects such as drowsiness, sedation or drug dependence. It is totally safe for prolonged use that too without affecting or weakening the immune system. It can also be used as an adjuvant along with other dermatological treatments.

1 – 2 tablets 2 – 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With Other Medicines

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains –
Katuki – Picrorrhiza kurroa – 100 mg – It has anti-inflammatory action and stabilizes mast cell.
Jatamamsi – Spikenard – Nardostachys jatamansi – 50 mg – It is a mast cell stabilizer.
Nagakehsara – Cobra’s saffron – Mesua ferrea – 50 mg – It has anti-histaminic and spasmolytic properties.
Vacha – Sweet flag – Acorus calamus –25 mg
Pushkaramoola – Inula racemosa – 50 mg – Used in treatment of respiratory diseases like asthma, bronchitis, cough etc. 
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 25 mg – It has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory properties and it detoxifies blood.
Jeeraka – Cumin seeds – Cuminum cyminum – 50 mg
Parpata – Fumaria indica – 50 mg – It has anti-histaminic property.
Kiratatikta – Swertia chiraita – 5 mg – used mainly in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory conditions like fever, skin diseases etc.
Shalmali – Silk cotton tree – Salmalia malabarica – 75 mg

Side effects of Histantin Tablet

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.                                                   
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
