Gashar Vati is an Ayurvedic medicine used for the treatment of gaseous distention of abdomen, colic pain, fullness of abdomen and bloating.

Ingredients of Gashar Vati
LavanaBhaskar Churna – 40 Tola
Hingvashtaka Churna – 40 Tola
Sitopaladi Churna – 20 Tola
Citric Acid – 5 Tola
Kuchala purified with Eranda taila – 2.5 Tola
Sohaga (purified Borax) – 2.5 Tola
Navasadara – – 2.5 Tola
Peppermint flower – 6 Masha
Seedless Munakka – 40 Tola
Method of Manufacturing
First, the herbal powders are prepared and filtered. Then Citric acid, Kuchala, Sohaga and pepper mint are added. Munakka is ground and made into paste. Then all the ingredients are ground together to prepare tablets of 1 Ratti each. (125 mg).
Dose of Gashar Vati
1 – 2 tablets, usually given 3 times a day. Sometimes, it is administered for up to six times, based on doctor’s advice.
Uses of Gashar Vati
Udavarta – Bloating
Apachan – Indigestion, weak digestion
Udarashoola – Abdominal colic pain
Gastritis causing anxiety, sleeplessness, headache,
Constipation, excessive thirst

Shelf Life: 3 years from the date of manufacturing.
Side effects
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advise for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.
With Homeopathy and western medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
