Dabur Honitus Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Dabur India Ltd.
It is mainly used in the treatment of cough and sore throat.

Ingredients of Dabur Honitus Cough Syrup
Basil – Tulsi – Ocimum sanctum – 50 mg – It has anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and immuno-modulating properties.
Licorice – Yashtimadu – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 50 mg – Expectorant, anti-allergic, relieves cough, chest congestion and sore throat.
Banaphsa – Viola odorata – 50 mg – It is useful in the treatment of cough, cold, asthma, chronic respiratory disorders.
Kantkari – Solanum surattense – 50 mg – It is used in the treatment of cough, cold, asthma and such other respiratory tract conditions.
Tailspatra – Abies webbiana – 50 mg – It has anti-bacterial, anti-tussive, broncho-dilatory and expectorant actions.
Ginger – Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 25 mg – It balances Vata and Kapha, useful in respiratory disorders.
Long Pepper – Pippali – Piper longum – 25 mg – It has immuno-stimulant, anti-mycobacterial and anti-microbial activities.
Malabar nut – Vasa – Adhatoda vasica – 25 mg – It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-tussive and broncho-dilatory properties.
Shati – Hedychium spicatum – 25 mg – It is useful in the treatment of cough, cold, asthma and chronic respiratory disorders.
Pudina satva – Mentha piperita – 3 mg
Honey – Madhu – 1.75 mg– It balances Kapha and Pitta dosha.

Adults: 2 teaspoon 3 to 4 times a day.
Children: 1 teaspoon 3 to 4 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

With Homeopathy and western medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
