Ingredients of Patanjali Divya Swasari Pravahi Syrup:
Maricha – Black Pepper – Piper nigrum – It is useful in treatment of asthma and chronic respiratory disorders.
Ikshu – Sugarcane – Saccharum officinarum
Amaltas – Aragvadha – Cassia fistula
Lasoda – Cordia dichotoma – It is an Ayurvedic plant, used for the treatment of cough, asthma, skin diseases, fever, diarrhea, intestinal worms and wounds.
Bhringraj – Eclipta alba – Useful in cough, cold, asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases.
Tejpatra – Cinnamomum tamala – It is an Ayurveda herb mentioned for the treatment of bad odor from mouth, black spots on the face, dental caries, swelling, cough and in complications of tuberculosis.
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – It balances Kapha, useful in productive cough.
Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – Useful in asthma, COPD, wheezing, breathing difficulty, chronic respiratory diseases.
Dalchini – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum
Yashti – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – Good expectorant, expels phlegm from lungs, heals respiratory diseases.
Brihati – Solanum indicum – It is widely used in treating respiratory disorders.
Kala Vasa – Justicia gendarussa
Safed Vasaka – Malabar nut – Adhatoda vasica – It has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, broncho-dilatory and anti-tussive properties.
Chhoti Pipal – Long pepper – Piper longum – It has anti-bacterial, immuno-stimulant and anti-mycobacterial activities.
Tulsi – Basil – Ocimum sanctum – It balances Kapha dosha, useful to relieve excess sputum production.

However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.

With Homeopathy and western medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
