Patanjali Badam Pak is a proprietary Ayurvedic product manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is beneficial for both body and mind.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Badam Pak:
Almond – Badam – Prunus amygdalus – It is mainly used for the treatment of nerve disorder, general debility, to improve the memory power and increase the sexual vigor. 
Cow’s ghee – It improves luster, immunity, memory, intelligence, power of digestion etc.
Kesar – Saffron – Crocus sativus – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of acne, black head, diarrhea, skin diseases, impotency and acts as immunity enhancer and memory booster.
Muktha Shukthi Bhasma – Prepared from Pearl Oyster
Vidarikanda – Pueraria tuberosa – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of hepatic diseases, discoloration of the skin, fever, to improve the breast milk and as general tonic and improve the body mass. 
Kamala gatta – Lotus seeds – Nelumbo nucifera – Nutritious, improves blood cell count and promotes safe pregnancy. 
Dalchini – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – It improves digestion strength.
Saunth – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – Aphrodisiac, improves digestion strength and taste.
Choti Elaichi – Lesser Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – Being an excellent anti oxidant, it is used in treating blood pressure, asthma, indigestion, dysuria etc.
Javitri – Mace – Myristica fragrans – It improves skin tone and complexion. Useful in cough, asthma, intestinal worm infestation.
Jaiphal – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – It is an aphrodisiac, digestive tonic, useful in cough, cold, asthma and more.
Vamshlochan – Bamboo – Bambusa arundinacea
Maricha – Black Pepper – Piper nigrum – It improves taste and digestion strength.
Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – It relieves bloating, gaseous distension of abdomen, abdominal colic pain, indigestion and tastelessness etc.
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – It has all qualities of a typical spice like useful in indigestion, asthma, cough etc. but it is also a very good aphrodisiac and anti ageing spice.
Kaunch Beej – Kapikacchu – Mucuna pruriens – It is widely used in treating sexual and neurological disorders.
Safed Musali – Asparagus adscendens – Aphrodisiac, nutritious, anti aging, causes cell and tissue rejuvenation.
Mishri shalam – Polygonatum verticillatum – Aphrodisiac, nervine tonic, nutritive and used in Sexual weakness.

Dose

Dosage of Patanjali Badam Pak:
10 – 20 g twice daily preferably with a glass of milk,
or to be taken under medical supervision.

Side effects and precautions

Side effects of Patanjali Badam Pak:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

Habit forming

Is this medicine habit forming? Does it create dependence? Can we stop it after a few months of usage?
This medicine is not habit forming. After using for the prescribed period, your doctor would gradually decrease the dose and eventually stop it. Follow your doctor’s instructions for gradual decrease of dose and stopping. Usually it does not cause any ill effects.

With Homeopathy and western medicine


Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?

Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
