Vadhamadakki Tablets: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Vadhamadakki Tablet is a classical Siddha medicine in tablet form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of vatha disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Vadhamadakki Tablet:
Each 500 mg tablet contains –
Amukkara chooranam – A prepared medicine – 65.79 %
Kuthukaran samatty chooranam – A prepared medicine – 26.31 % Nagavanga chendooram – 3.95 % – It is a classical Siddha medicine used in the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, degenerative changes of bones & joints.
Kungilia parpam – A prepared medicine – 3.95 %

Sittramutti kasayam – Bala Kashaya – Sida cordifolia – q.s. – Useful to improve strength of bones, muscles and joints.
Nochi kasayam – Nirgundi Kashaya – Vitex negundo – q.s. – It is a very good muscle relaxant, pain relieving, anti mosquito, anti anxiety, anti asthma and so on, herb.
Thaluthalai kasayam – Cleodendron inermis – q.s.
Vathanarayanan kasayam – Gulmohur – Delonix elata – q.s.
Nilavembu kasayam – Kalamegha – Andrographis paniculata – q.s. – It is an Ayurvedic herb, used for the treatment of diseases of the liver, skin diseases, lack of appetite, fever and purification of the blood.

Indication

Indication of Vadhamadakki Tablet:

  • All kinds of vadha noigal & particularly moottu theivathaal varum vaadham [azhalkeelvadham] & kudhikaal vadham [osteo arthritis].

It is useful to promote strength of bones and joints.
It acts as an excellent anti inflammatory and analgesic medicine.
It is used for the treatment of ankle pain, ankle twitch, slipped disc, sprain, back spasm, backache, back injury, stiffness of muscles, Coccyx pain

  • Bursitis,  
  • Bursitis trochanterica,
  • Shoulder dislocation pain

Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains

Partially useful in (other medications might be required)
Avascular necrosis
Sensory-neural hearing loss
Hypothyroidism
Ankylosing spondylitis
Pain related to SLE

Diet

Avoid deep fried foods, heavy-to-digest non veg foods, fast foods and aerated drinks, smoking and excess alcohol. These can irritate stomach and intestinal lining. These also may increase Tridosha.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Vadhamadakki Tablet:
2 tablets twice daily with water after food.
Or as directed by the physician.

Diet

Pathya:-
Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Vadhamadakki Tablet:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under medical supervision.
