Urai Tablet is a classical Siddha medicine in tablet form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of digestive & respiratory disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Urai Tablet:
Each tablet consists of [available in 100 mg & 500 mg] –
Chukku – Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 9.09 % – It improves taste and digestion strength.
Athimadhuram – Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 9.09 % – Good expectorant, expels phlegm from lungs, heals respiratory diseases.
Agraharam – Akarakarabha – Anacyclus pyrethrum – 9.09 %
Vasambu – Vacha – Acorus calamus – 9.09 % – Digestive, relieves Ama dosha.
Sathikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 9.09 % – It is very useful in clearing throat, cough, asthma, Irritable bowel syndrome and diarrhoea.
Masikkai – Mayaphala – Quercus infectoria – 9.09 %
Kadukkaithol – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 9.09 %
Perunkayam – Hingu – Ferula asafoetida – 9.09 % – Carminative, useful in the treatment of abdominal colic pain, constipation, bloating, worm infestation etc.
Poondu [without thol] – Lasuna – Garlic – Allium sativum – 9.09 % – It is hot, cleansing, cardiac tonic, digestive, useful in cough, asthma etc.
Thippili – Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – 9.09 % – Useful in indigestion, asthma, cough etc.
Velampisin – Babbula – Acacia nilotica – 9.09 %
Thulasi kasayam – Thulasi – Holy basil – Ocimum sanctum – q.s. – It balances Kapha dosha, useful to relieve excess sputum production.
Seenthil kasayam – Guduchi – Giloy -Tinospora cordifolia – q.s. – It has anti-pyretic and immunomodulatory activities.
Veppan kolunthu kasayam – Nimba – Neem – Azadirachta indica – q.s. – It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and immunomodulatory activities.

Indication

Indication of Urai Tablet:

  • Maantham, gunmam [group of digestive disorders] for children.
  • Sali [phlegm]
  • Irumal [cough]
  • Natpatta Sali [chronic phlegm]
  • Natpatta irumal [chronic bronchitis]
  • Thodar suram [continuous fever].
  • Improves general immunity.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Urai Tablet:

  • 1 – 2 tablets with lukewarm water or milk after food twice a day [both 100 mg & 500 mg], or as directed by the physician.
  • For children it can be administered by grinding like paste.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Urai Tablet:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under medical supervision.
  • Safe for children.
