Ingredients of Vallarai Chooranam:
Vallarai – Mandookaparni – Centella asiatica – 52.63 %
Jadhikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 5.26 % – Useful in diabetes and urinary tract infection.
Jadhipathiri – Jatipatra – Myristica fragrans – 5.26 %
Lavangam – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – 5.26 %
Elam – Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 5.26 % – Being an excellent anti oxidant, it is used in treating blood pressure, asthma, indigestion, dysuria etc.
Thaaleesapathiri – Talispatra – Taxus baccata – 5.26 %
Masikkai – Mayaphala – Quercus infectoria – Oliver – 5.26 %
Kadukkaithol – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 5.26 % – Useful in diabetes and urinary tract disorders.
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 5.26 % – Improves vision, useful in eye diseases, diabetes and urinary tract diseases.
Thandrikkaithol – Vibhitaki – Belleric myrobalan – Terminalia bellerica – 5.26 % – It is good for eyes.

Indications of Vallarai Chooranam:
- Meganoigal [hot flush]
- Pramegam [polyurea]
- Madhumegam [diabetes mallitus]
- Dantimegam [passing of urine along with pus]
- Vettai noigal [gonorrheal infections]
- Granthi [glandular enlargements]
- Neeradaippu neerarugal [strangury]
- Neererichchal & mooththira choodu [scalding of urine]
- Kannerichchal [burning sensation of the eyes]
- Kanpugaichchal [blurring of vision]
- Sarvaanga udalerichchal [burning sensation all over the body]
- Moolachoodu [irritative anus]
- Kshaya rogam [emaciation]
- It drastically reduces the severity of excessive heat and cools the system.
- It is a distinct urinary sedative.
Dose
Dosage & Adjuvants of Vallarai Chooranam:
- 1 – 2 g twice a day with equal quantity of sugar in ghee after food for 48 days.
- To obtain better results, it is usually dispensed along with Appiraka Chendooram or Appiraka Parpam.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
