Thiriphala Karpam Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in diabetes and skin problems.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Thiriphala Karpam Chooranam:
Kadukkaithol – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 33.33 %
Nellivattralthol – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 33.33 % – It can keep all the skin-related problems at bay, including acne, dark spots and wrinkles. It strengthens hair follicles thereby facilitating hair growth and strengthening of the hair. It has anti-diabetic property.
Thandrikkaithol – Vibhitaki – Belleric myrobalan – Terminalia bellerica – 33.33 %
Karungali kattai – Khadira – Acacia catechu – q.s. – It is a very famous skin benefiting Ayurvedic herb.
Vengai kattai – Asana – Pterocarpus marsupium – q.s. – It is extensively used for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, diarrhea, vitiligo, eczema, psoriasis etc, in Ayurveda. 

Indication

Indications of Thiriphala Karpam Chooranam – Tablet:

  • Kudal pungal [peptic ulcer]
  • Thalai mudiyudhiral [hair falling/alopecia]
  • Tholenoigal [skin diseases]
  • Siruneeraga kargal [urinary calculi/urolithiasis]
  • It gives good relief in madhu megam/sarkarai noi [diabetes].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Thiriphala Karpam Chooranam:
1 – 2 g with honey or hot water etc., after food 2 – 3 times a day.
Dosage of Thiripala Karpam Tablet [Plain]:
2 – 4 tablets with water after food twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

    I am 51 year old man. I have no health issue. Can I take Thiriphala Karpam tablets for 2 months to lead health life . Please advice.
