Sirupeelai Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in urinary tract disorders.

Gunapaadam [Mooligai vaguppu] [Materia medica- Plant kingdom] of (1) C.S. Murugesa Mudaliyar & (2) C. Kannuswamy Pillai.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Sirupeelai Chooranam:
Sirupeelai samoolam – Gorakshaganja – Aerva lanata – 100 % – It is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of renal calculi, retention of urine, cough and sore throat. 

Indication

Indications of Sirupeelai Chooranam:

  • Very effective in kalladaippu/siruneeraga kargal [lithiasis/urinary calculi]
  • Neeradaippu [strangury]
  • Mooththira ghrichara/neererichchal [dysuria/painful micturition] etc.
  • It is a kalkarichchi [distinct lithotriptic].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Sirupeelai Chooranam:

  • Prepare decoction by adding 300 ml of water with 5 g of powder, reducing to 30 ml & take 2 – 3 times a day before food.
    Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
