Bruhath Chandanaadi Thailam is an Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Group. It is used in the treatment of psychosis, headache, jaundice, gout etc.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Bruhath Chandanaadi Thailam:
Each 10 ml is prepared out of:
Chandana – Sandal wood – Santalum album – 3.125 g – It is a coolant, very useful in gastritis, burning sensation in hands and feet.
Udeepyam – 3.125 g
Madhukam – Madhuca longifolia – 3.125 g – It is described in Ayurveda for treating skin diseases, nerve disorders, cough, burning sensation and diarrhea.
Dhaatri – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 3.125 g
Yashtyahva – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 3.125 g – Provides good strength and immunity.
Sariva – Indian sarsaparilla – Hemidesmus indicus – 3.125 g
Bala – Country mallow – Sida cordifolia – 3.125 g
Prapaundarika – Nymphaea lotus – 0.024 g
Manjishta – Indian madder – Rubia cordifolia – 0.024 g – It is a famous herb for blood detoxification and useful in skin diseases.
Dhataki – Woodfordia fruticosa – 0.024 g
Padma kesara – Nelumbo nucifera – 0.024 g – It is coolant and relieves burning sensation, inflammation and bleeding piles.
Kumuda – Water lily – Nymphaea alba – 0.024 g
Utpala – Nymphaea stellata – 0.024 g
Shaluka – 0.024 g
Mrinala – 0.024 g
Visha – Aconitum ferox – 0.024 g
Padmaka – Prunus cerasoides – 0.024 g – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of skin diseases, increasing the complexion and used as uterine tonic.
Anantha – Sarsaparilla – Hemidesmus indicus – 0.024 g – It is widely used in the treatment of oligospermia, gastritis, anorexia, menorrhagia etc.
Kusha – Desmostachya bipinnata – 0.024 g
Kasha – Saccharum spontaneum – 0.024 g
Ikshu – Sugar cane – Saccharum officinarum – 0.024 g
Nyagroda shringa – Ficus bengalensis – 0.024 g
Udumbara shringa – Ficus racemosa – 0.024 g – Relieves burning sensation, as in gastritis, neuropathy, burning sensation in eyes etc.
Ashwatha shringa – Ficus religiosa – 0.024 g
Plaksha shringa – Ficus lacor – 0.024 g
Nyagrodha twak – Ficus bengalensis – 0.024 g
Udumbara twak – Ficus racemosa – 0.024 g
Ashwatha twak – Ficus religiosa – 0.024 g – It is an Ayurvedic tree used for the treatment of cough, skin diseases, improving the skin complexion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and improving the sexual potency. 
Plaksha twak – Ficus lacor – 0.024 g
Jeevanti – Leptadenia reticulata – 0.024 g
Kakoli (Lilium polyphyllum) / Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – 0.024 g
Ksheera Kakoli (Fritillaria roylei) / Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – 0.024 g
Meda (Polygonatum verticillatum) / Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) – 0.024 g
Mahameda (Polygonatum cirrhifolium) / Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) – 0.024 g
Mudgaparni – Phaseolus trilobus – 0.024 g
Mashaparni – Teramnus labialis – 0.024 g – It is used for treating fatigue, muscle wasting, Vata and Pitta imbalance disorders, bleeding disorders etc.
Jeevaka (Crepidium  acuminatum) / Vidari (Pueraria tuberosa) – 0.024 g
Rushabhaka (Malaxis  muscifera) / Vidari (Pueraria tuberosa) – 0.024 g
Madhuka – Madhuca indica – 0.024 g
Brahmi rasa – Bacopa monnieri – 4.600 ml
Shatavari rasa – Asparagus racemosus – 4.600 ml – It helps mother to lactate more, useful in treating male and female infertility, induces sleep, calms mind and stomach. 
Kumari rasa – Aloe vera juice – Aloe barbadensis – 4.600 ml
Ksheera – milk – 10.000 ml
Nalikera ambu – Coconut water – 10.000 ml
Thailam – Sesame Oil – 10.000 ml

Indications of Bruhath Chandanaadi Thailam:
Sarvanga santhapa – burning sensation all over the body
Murcha – syncope
Shiro graha – head ache
Kamala – jaundice, liver disorders
Aadya vata – gout
Raktapitta – bleeding disorders
Asrigdhara – menorrhagia
Apasmara – epilepsy
Unmada – psychosis
Visarpa – erysipelas

Application on feet

Oil application over feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Mode of usage, duration of use

Mode of usage:
Required quantity to be applied on the head and the affected areas of the body.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
Useful in mosquito bite scars, sun tan, white heads, sensitive skin.

Side effects, precautions

Side effects:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.                                               
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
