Talekt Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by The Himalaya Drug Company. It is used in the treatment of Disorders of sebaceous glands.
Talekt Capsule Ingredients
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 36 mg – It has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-allergic and immuno-modulatory properties.
Aragvadha – Cassia fistula – 36 mg – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Nimba – Neem – Azadirachta indica – 32 mg – It has wound healing, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 32 mg – It has immuno-modulatory activity.
Triphala – 31 mg
Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 31 mg – It is rich in anti-oxidants that help to reduce signs of premature ageing, like wrinkles and fine lines. It reduces pigmentation or dark spots on skin and restores a natural glow on face.
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 31 mg – Natural detoxifying, rejuvenative and useful in skin diseases.
Bibhitaka – Beleric myrobalan – Terminalia belerica – 31 mg
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 31 mg – It detoxifies blood, hence useful in skin diseases.
Bhringaraja – False daisy – Eclipta alba – 31 mg – It detoxifies blood and useful in skin diseases.
Yavatikta – Kalmegha – Andrographis paniculata – 31 mg – It has anti-oxidant, anti-microbial activities and useful in skin diseases.
Indications
Disorders of sebaceous glands:
infective and non infective acne vulgaris, Seborrhea, Rosacea.
Bacterial infections of skin:
Furuncles, carbuncles, Paronychia, Dermatitis, Allergic, Systemic mycoses, Ringworm, candidacies.
Parasitic infections of skin:
Scabies, Pediculois.
Papulosquamous disorders:
Pasoriasis.
Dosage
2 capsules twice daily.
Or as directed y the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Talekt does not have any significant adverse effects if taken as per the prescribed dosage.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
