Prostina Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Dey’s Medical Stores Pvt Ltd. It is a multi-ingredient herbal formulation for benign prostatic hyperplasia.
BPH is a common problem of elderly males. 30 % of men after 50 years of age begin experiencing difficulties with urination related to BPH. It manifests with a mixture of obstructive and irritant urinary symptoms.
Prostina is as effective as terazosin in providing symptomatic relief in BPH. Prostina appears to be reasonable alternative for men with early, uncomplicated prostatism and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Indication of Prostina Capsule

Ingredients
Each capsule contains –
Hapusha – Juniperus communis – 200 mg – It has anti-microbial activity.
Pravala – Coral – Corallium rubrum – 150 mg
Shuddha shilajitu – Purified asphaltum – 40 mg – Useful in genito urinary tract diseases.
Indravadhi – Mutilla occidentalis – 0.25 mg
Kankola – Piper cubeba – q.s.
Usheera – Vetiveria zizanioides – q.s. – Relieves dysuria, urinary retention, acts as diuretic and useful in urinary tract disorders and diabetes.
Chandana taila – Sandal wood oil – Santalum album – q.s. – It acts as diuretic, used in treating bladder inflammation, cystitis, urethritis, vaginitis.
Dosage
2 capsules twice a day for 3 months,
or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
