Madhumehari Granules: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Granule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhavan. Madhumehari Granules is an excellent remedy to relieve frequent urination, dryness of mouth, numbness, debility, fatigue, excessive thirst associated with increased blood sugar.

Indication of Madhumehari granules

Diabetes
Urine sugar
Blood sugar
Nephritis
Excessive urination

Dosage

1 tsp twice a day with water before meals.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With Other Medicines

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Each 100 g contains –
Meshashringi – Gymnema sylvestre – 20 g – It is a herb popularly known for its anti- diabetic action and is mentioned in Ayurvedic treatment of diabetes.
Jambu – Jamun – Syzygium cumini – 8 g
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 10 g – useful in treatment of diabetes, urinary tract disorders.
Karavellaka – Bittergourd – Momordica charantia – 5 g – It has anti-diabetic and hepato-protective action.
Khadira – Cutch tree – Acacia catechu – 5 g
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 5 g – It is the drug of choice in effectively tackling Diabetes Mellitus and Urinary tract disorders. 
Amalaki – Gooseberry – Embelica officinalis – 5 g – Amla was studied to demonstrate hypoglycemic activity in an animal experimental research study.
Vijayasara – Indian kino tree – Pterocarpus marsupeum – 5 g
Tejapatra – Cinnamomum tamala – 5 g
Shilajitu – Asphaltum – 5 g – Useful in diabetes.
Udumbara – Country fig – Ficus glomerata – 4 g
Katuki – Picrorrhiza kurroa – 4 g – useful in urinary tract disorders, diabetes.
Chitraka – Leadwort – Plumbago zeylanica – 4 g – It has hepato-protective activity.
Methika – Fenugreek – Trigonella foenum greacum – 3 g – It has blood glucose and lipid lowering effects.
Processed with –
Nimbapatra – Neem leaves – Azadirachta indica – 5 g – Useful in diabetes and disorders related to urinary tract.
Bilwa- Bael leaves – Aegle marmelos – 5 g
Trivanga bhasma – Ayurvedic medicine – 2 g – It is used in the treatment of urinary tract diseases, UTI, diabetes, and in female diseases. 
Baboola resin as a blender – q.s.
Excipients – q.s.

Side effects of Madumehari Granules

There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.        
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy. This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
