Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by The Himalaya Drug Company. It is used to treat leucorrhoea.
Benefits of Lukol Tablet
It has anti-microbial & anti-fungal properties. It treats bacterial infection causing leucorrhoea and pelvic inflammatory disease – PID.
It has swelling reducing, pain relieving and anti-spasmodic properties.
It has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and astringent actions on mucous membrane of the genital system which helps to treat leucorrhoea.
It improves blood circulation and musculature of uterus.
It gives relief in pain, back ache, other symptoms associated with PID and leucorrhoea.
It improves general health and relieves malaise and low back ache.

Dosage
2 tablets thrice a day with water for 2 – 3 weeks. Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kokilaksha – Asteracantha longifolia – 80 mg – It has anti-microbial activity. Shatavari – Buttermilk root – Asparagus racemosus – 80 mg – It has aphrodisiac and anti-microbial activities.
Sarpagandha – Rauwolfia serpentina – 40 mg – Useful to heal wound quickly and useful to relieve infection.
Punarnava – Spreading hogweed – Boerhavia diffusa – 20 mg – It has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Vasaka – Malabar nut – Adhatoda vasica – 20 mg – It has anti-microbial activity.
Powders of – Puga – Areca nut – Areca catechu – 40 mg – It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and wound healing properties.
Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 32 mg
Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 22 mg
Nagakeshara – Cobra’s saffron – Mesua ferrea – 22 mg -It is used in leucorrhoea and bleeding disorders.
Jeeraka – Cumin seed – Cuminum cyminum – 20 mg
Chandana – Sandal wood – Santalum album – 20 mg – Detoxifies blood, useful in bleeding disorders.
Shilaitu – Asphaltum – 18 mg
Pravala bhasma – Clax of coral – 14 mg – Useful in painful micturition and leucorrhoea etc.
Bilwa – Bael – Aegle marmelos – 10 mg
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 10 mg
Triphala – 10 mg
Amla – Gooseberry – Embelica officinalis
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula
Vibitaki – Baheda – Terminalia bellerica – 10 mg
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 10 mg
Hyamaraka – Stri kutaja – Wrightia tinctoria – 10 mg – It has anti-fungal activity.
Guggulu – Indian bedellium – Commiphora mukul – 10 mg
Loha bhasma – Clax of iron – 10 mg – It improves strength, immunity.
Trivanga bhasma – Ayurvedic medicine – 10 mg – It is used in the treatment of urinary tract diseases, UTI, diabetes, and in female diseases.
Palasha – Butea monosperma – 8 mg
Side effects of Lukol Tablet
There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy. This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
