Acute & chronic cough.
Useful as cough sedative and anti-spasmodic.
Useful in various irritant cough.
Dosage
Adults – 1 – 2 tablets 3 times a day.
Children – 1/4th – 1/2 tablet regulated according to age.
or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
Ingredients
Each uncoated tablet contains –
Vasaka – Malabar nut – Adathoda vasica – 140 mg – It is an expectorant liquefies thick and tenacious sputum, so that it is easily brought out.
Soma – Ephedra gerardiana – 60 mg – controls the asthmatic paroxysms.
Senega – Snake root – Polygala chinensis – 20 mg – expectorant and stimulant.
Nala – Lobelia nicotianaefolia – 10 mg – It is an expectorant and broncho-dilator.
Dudhi – Asthma plant – Euphorbia pilulifera – 20 mg – causes relaxation of bronchi by action on the central nervous system.
Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 20 mg – It is a mild expectorant and demulcent.
Kababchini – Cubeba officinalis – 10 mg – expectorant and stimulant.
Katphala – Bayberry – Myrica nagi – 12.2 mg – It is used in chronic cough, asthma, bronchitis and lung infections.
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 32.6 mg – used in cough and asthma.
Swarnakshiri – Argemone mexicana – 4 mg – It is an expectorant and sedative.
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum- 2 mg – It is used in cold, cough and asthma.
Karkatashringi – Rhus succedanea – 40.6 mg – It is an expectorant and anti-asthmatic and is used in conditions of the respiratory tract.
Side effects of Koflyn Tablet
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
