Himplasia Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by The Himalaya Drug Company. It is a new dimension in BPH management. Himplasia is a herbal Ayurvedic formulation that promotes optimum prostate health, urogenital function, bladder function and reproductive function.

Indication

Benign prostatic hyperplasia -abnormal proliferation of prostate cells

Mode of action

Management of benign prostatic hyperplasia -BPH – The pharmacological action of Himplasia inhibits the enzyme 5 alpha reductase, which results in increased levels of testosterone.
Drugs that inhibit 5 alpha reductase enzyme have been traditionally used in the management of BPH, prostate cancer and baldness.
The drug significantly reduces prostatic weight, epithelial height and stromal proliferation.
Reduces the symptoms of BPH – Urinary tract infections, dysuria, local and internal inflammation are the common symptoms of BPH.
Himplasia has anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties that reduce BPH induced inflammation and pain.
Due to its anti-microbial property, the medicine prevents urinary tract infections which results due to urine stagnation in the body.

Dosage

1 tablet twice a day. or as directed by the physician.
The treatment for BPH requires long-term administration of Himplasia.
The assessment of response to treatment should be individualized with appropriate urodynamic monitoring.
Himplasia should be used with caution in patients with uncontrolled hypertension.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With Other Medicines

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kulattha – Horsegram – Dolichos biflorus – It has anti-urolithiatic, anti-inflammatory properties.
Kumari – Aloe vera – Aloe barbadensis – It has anti-bacterial activity.

Side effects of Himplasia Tablet

There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
