Sri Sri Tattva Vedanantaka Balm Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side effects

Sri Sri Tattva Vedanantaka Balm is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sri Sri Tattva Company. It is used in the treatment of muscle spasm and ache, all arthritic pains, sprain, backache, spondylitis,
sports trauma.

Ingredients of Sri Sri Tattva Vedanantaka Balm:
Pinda taila – 0.3 gm – Used in gouty arthritis.
Dhanvantaram taila – 0.3 gm
Narayana taila – 0.3 gm – Useful to relieve aches and pain due to travelling.
Sarala taila – Pinus longifolia – 0.14 gm – It has analgesic action.
Gandhapura taila – Winter green – Gaultheria procumbens – 0.1 gm
Devadaru taila – Himalayan Cedar – Cedrus deodara – 0.1 gm – It has analgesic and anti-inflamatory activities.
Nirgundi taila – Vitex negundo – 0.08 gm – It acts as a muscle relaxant and analgesic.
Shallaki taila – Boswellia serrata – 0.08 gm – Used for osteo arthritis and muscular pain.
Tailaparni taila – Nilgiri Tel – Eucalyptus globulous – 0.035 gm
Gandhatruna taila – Cymbopogon flexuosus – 0.035 gm
Karpura – Cinnamomum camphora – 0.015 gm
Menthol – Mentha spicata – 0.24 gm
Water – Q.S.
Base – 0.01 gm
Lavanga oil green SS 82 colour – 0.0004 gm

Indication:
Muscle spasm and ache,
all arthritic pains,
sprain,
backache,
spondylitis,
sports trauma,
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,  
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain

It is useful to promote strength of bones and joints.
It acts as an excellent anti inflammatory and analgesic medicine.
It is used for the treatment of ankle pain, ankle twitch, slipped disc, sprain, back spasm, backache, back injury, stiffness of muscles, Coccyx pain

Partially useful in (other medications might be required)
Avascular necrosis
Sensory-neural hearing loss
Hypothyroidism
Ankylosing spondylitis
Pain related to SLE

Diet

Avoid deep fried foods, heavy-to-digest non veg foods, fast foods and aerated drinks, smoking and excess alcohol. These can irritate stomach and intestinal lining. These also may increase Tridosha.


Dosage:
To be massaged gently on the skin over the affected areas,
or as directed by the physician.

Presentation: 30 gm

Side effects and Precautions:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. 
Seek your doctor’s advice for its use during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during the lactation period and in children for a limited period of a few weeks time.

How long to take?
This medicine is usually prescribed for a period of 1 – 2 months time.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacturing.
