Sri Sri Tattva Raktashodhini Arishta Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side effects

Sri Sri Tattva Raktashodhini Arishta is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sri Sri Tattva Company. It is used in the treatment of all types of skin diseases including microbial infections, discoloration of the skin, pimples.

Ingredients of Sri Sri Tattva Raktashodhini Arishta:
Purging cassia – Aragvada – Cassia fistula – 0.308 mg – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 0.103 mg
Vibhitaki – Belliric myrobalan – Terminalia bellerica – 0.103 mg – It detoxifies the blood.
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis – 0.103 mg
Chitraka – Leadwort – Plumbago zeylanica – 0.308 mg
China root – Chopacheeni – Smilax china – 0.154 mg – It has anti-inflamatory, anti-allergic and anti-microbial activities.
Khadira – Gum acacia – Acacia catechu – 0.154 mg – It relieves itching and useful in skin diseases.
Indian madder – Manjishta – Rubia cordifolia – 0.154 mg – Good for skin and improves complexion.
Neem – Nimba twak – Azadirachta indica – 0.154 mg – Useful in skin diseases and heals the wounds.
Usheera – Khas Khas  – Vetiveria zizanioides – 0.154 mg – Being coolant, it relieves burning sensation and controls body temperature.
Sariva – Indian Sarsaparilla – Hemidesmus indicus – 0.154 mg – Useful in itching and skin diseases.
Daruharidra – Tree turmeric – Berberis aristata  – 0.154 mg – It has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa –  0.154 mg – it has anti-bacterial action and it relieves burning sensation.
Patola – Pointed Gourd – Trichosanthes dioica – 0.154 mg – Improves complexion and purifies the blood.
Duralabha –  Fagonia cretica / Alhagi pseudalhagi – 0.154 mg
Padmaka – Wild Himalayan Cherry – Prunus cerasoide – 0.154 mg – it has wound healing property.
Indrayava – Holarrhena antidysentrica – 0.154 mg – it has anti-fungal activities.
Bhonimba – Andrographis paniculata – 0.154 mg
Red Sandalwood – Rakthachandana – Pterocarpus santalinus – 0.154 mg – Relieves burning sensation.
Guda – Jaggery – 3.2 mg
Madhu – Honey – 0.8 mg
Long pepper – Pippali – Piper longum – 0.046 mg
Black pepper – Maricha – Piper nigrum – 0.046 mg
Cobra’s Saffron – Nagakeshara – Mesua ferrea – 0.046 mg
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 0.046 mg – It has wound healing property.
Java pepper – Kankola – Piper cubeba – 0.046 mg

Indication:
Itching,
Purifies blood,
All types of skin diseases including microbial infections,
discoloration of the skin,
pimples/Acne vulgaris,
diseases due to the vitiation of pitta and Rakta.

Dose:
Adults: 15 to 20 ml twice or thrice daily after food with an equal quantity of water
Children(5 to 15 years): 5 to 10 ml twice or thrice daily after food with an equal quantity of water
or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects and Precautions:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. 
 Seek your doctor’s advice for its use during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during the lactation period and in children for a limited period of a few weeks time.

How long to take?
This medicine is usually prescribed for a period of 1 – 2 months time.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacturing.
