Trikatu Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by The Himalaya Drug Company. It is mainly used in the treatment of postprandial fullness, early satiety diseases.
Trikatu Syrup Ingredients: Each 5 ml of Trikatu Himalaya syrup contains 125 mg
Long pepper – Pippali – Piper Longum
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper Nigrum -Fruit – It improves digestive strength.
Shunti -Ginger – Zingiber Officinale -Rhizome – It is a appetizer and it improves digestion.
Trikatu Syrup Indications:
Functional dyspepsia characterized by:
Postprandial fullness, early satiety,
abdominal distension and bloating.
Children: 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) twice daily
Adults: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) twice daily.
Presentation: Available in 200 ml
How long to take?
This medicine can be taken for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice. After that time, usually the dose is gradually reduced and the medicine is stopped in next 6 weeks of time.
Shelf life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.

It is usually prescribed in a lower dose during lactation and in children.
