Livomap tablet Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Livomap Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Maharishi Ayurveda India. It is mainly used in the treatment of hepatitis, malabsorbtion and anorexia.

Uses and dose

Livomap tablet Indications:
Infective hepatitis -viral and bacterial, hepatic dyspepsia, anemia and malabsorption syndrome, anorexia, as an adjuvant therapy.

Dosage: 1-2 tablet 2-3 times a day.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Duration

How long to take?
This medicine can be taken for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice. After that time, usually the dose is gradually reduced and the medicine is stopped in next 6 weeks of time.

Livomap tablet Ingredients:
Each 500 mg tablet contains:
Punarnava – Boerhaavia diffusa – root powder – 60 mg
Nimba – Azadirachta indica – bark powder – 30 mg
Patola patra – Trichosnthes cucumeria – leaf powder – 30 mg – It improves taste, useful in anorexia, balances pitta, used in skin diseases.
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 30 mg
Katuki – Picrohiza Kurroa – rhizome powder – 30 mg – Normalizes liver enzymes and helps normal functioning of liver.
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifollia – stem powder – 30 mg – Reduces infection, act as immuno modulator.
Devadaru – Cedur deodara- heartwood powder – 30 mg
Haritaki -Terminalia chebula – 30 mg
Varuna – Crataeva religiosa – bark powder – 30 mg
Shikru – Moringa oleifera – bark powder – 30 mg – It improves digestion, taste, act as cardiac tonic.
Afasanthin – Berberis aristata – heartwood powder – 30 mg
Sharpunka – Tephorosia purpurea – 30 mg
Processed in the aqueous extract of all the above ingredients.

Side effects

Livomap tablet Side effects:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It is usually prescribed in a lower dose during lactation and in children.
Consult your doctor for its usage during pregnancy.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
