Gorochani Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Gorochani Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sagar Pharmaceuticals. It is used to treat diabetes and its complications. It contains powerful Ayurvedic ingredients such as Shilajit, Jamun seeds, Madhunashini etc.

Indications and dose

Indication of Gorochani Tablet: Diabetes mellitus

Dosage of Gorochani Tablet:
2 tablets 3 times a day for 6 months or till adequate stability of urine sugar & blood sugar are achieved, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
Later maintenance dose 1 tablet thrice a day or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Gorochani Tablet:
Each coated tablet contains –
Madhunashini patra – Gymnema sylvestre – 50 mg – leaves
Madhunashini moola – Gymnema sylvestre – 40 mg – root
Jambuphala – Syzygium cumini – 120 mg
Amalaki – Embelica officinalis –  60 mg – Amla or Amalaki can be said as the most used Ayurvedic ingredient. It is both a food and medicine. The little fruit is stuffed with innumerable health benefits that can ever be imagined. The word Amla refers to sour, which is its predominant taste.
Haridra – Curcuma longa – 60 mg
Saptarangi – Cassariana esculanta – 20 mg
Mamejav – Enicostemma littorale – 20 mg
Shilajitu – Asphaltum – 30 mg – There is no curable disease in the universe which is not effectively cured by Shilajit – Master Charaka. Shilajit is one of the sought after Ayurvedic product in the market. From body building, to treating disorders such as diabetes, asthma etc, shilajat is very commonly used.

Side effects

Side effects of Gorochani Tablet:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine in prescribed dose.
Should be taken under medical supervision.
Over dosage may cause lowered blood sugar – hypoglycemia. Hence, care should be taken especially when administered along side allopathic anti diabetic medicines.
