Gestatone Granules is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Kerala Ayurveda Ltd. it is used in the treatment of obstetric conditions.  It is useful in improving breast milk production after child birth.

Indications

Indication of Gestatone Granules:
Galactogogue
Anorexia
Anaemia
Post-natal health problems of the mother

Dose and duration of use

Dosage of Gestatone Granules:
1-2 tsp twice a day mixing with milk, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Gestatone Granules:
Each 15 g contains –
Kamala – Mallotus phillipinenises – 750 mg
Sugarcane root – Ikshu – Saccharum officinarum – 750 g – Sugar cane juice is probably the most popular and widely consumed juice here in India. An interesting fact is that it is in use since thousands of years. In Ayurveda, sugar cane juice, and its other derivatives such as jaggery is used in many formulations including lehyams (herbal jams), Asava, Arishta etc. Let us know what are its benefits.

Tavaksheeri – Curcuma angustifolia – 800 mg
Karkatashringi – Pistacia integirrima – 800 mg
Guduchi  – Tinospora cordifolia – 800 mg

Ashwagandha  – Withania somnifera – 750 mg
Draksha – Vitis vinifera – 750 mg – Raisins

Anjeera – Ficus arica – 750 mg – FIgs
Vriddhi  – Habenaria intermeda – 800 mg
Dates – Kharjura  – Phoenix dactylifera – 750 mg – Kharjur – Phoenix sylvestris, popularly known as Date Palm is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of general debility, dysuria, gingivitis, fever and thirst.
Go ghrita – Cow’s ghee – 750 mg

Side effects

Side effects of Gestatone Granules:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine. Not ideal for people with diabetes.
It Should be taken under medical supervision.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Keep it air tight away from direct sunlight.
