Chirayu Fitness Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Chirayu Fitness Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Chirayu  Pharmaceuticals. It is the herbal formulation in liquid form. It is a general tonic. It is a body rejuvenator and immunity booster.

Indication of Fitness Syrup:
Anorexia
Malnutrition
Anemia
Cough
Cold

Dosage

Dosage of Fitness Syrup:
Children – 1-2 teaspoon twice a day.
Adults – 2-4 teaspoon twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Chirayu Fitness Syrup:
Each 10 ml contains –
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 200 mg
Shatavari – Asperagus racemosus – 100 mg
Bilva – Aegle marmelos – 100 mg
Varahikanda – Dioscorea bulbifera – 75 mg – Varahikanda – tuber of Dioscorea bulbifera is an excellent aphrodisiac herb, used for the treatment of diabetes, eczema, psoriasis, intestinal parasites etc. It is also called air potato.

Vidarikanda – Pueraria tuberosa – 25 mg
Kavacha – Mucuna pruriens – 25 mg
Bringaraja – Eclipta alba – 25 mg
Kokilaksha – Asteracantha longifolia – 25 mg – Kokilaksha – Asteracantha longifolia is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of general debility, jaundice, distention of abdomen, swelling, difficulty in urination and impotency.

Vijavanda  – 25 mg
Kulanjana – Alpinia alanga – 25 mg
Utingana – Betula utilis – 25 mg
Musali – Chlorophytum borivilianum – 25 mg
Twak – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – 25 mg
Jayapala – Croton tiglium – 100 mg
Kasturi – Moschus spp. – 100 mg – Kasturi – Musk, as commonly known, is a secretion from the animal Moschus Moschiferus or popularly known as Musk Deer found in the Himalayan mountains. The musk is used in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, neurological diseases, nausea, bad odor, strengthening cardiac muscles and respiratory diseases.

Side effects

Side effects of Fitness Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine. This is not suitable for people with diabetes.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
