Feverend Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Feverend Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Chirayu Pharmaceuticals. It is known for fast, powerful relief from of fever of various causes. It is prepared on the concept of ‘Tridosha’ in Ayurveda. The composition of the syrup is self-explanatory as the constituents are favorably used for different types of fever in Ayurveda. 

Indications and Dosage

Indication of Feverend Syrup:
Fever of various etiology

Dosage of Feverend Syrup:
2-4 teaspoon – 2 – 3 times a day before food or as directed by Ayurvedic physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Feverend Syrup:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains –
Sudarshana churna  – 1000 mg
Kiratatikta – Swertia chirayita – 250 mg
Nimba – Azadirachta indica – 250 mg
Musta – Cyperus rotundus – 250 mg
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 300 mg
Pippali – Piper longum – 100 mg
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 100 mg
Patola patra – Tricosanthes dioica – 100 mg – Pointed gourd is a very ancient Ayurvedic medicinal herb and vegetable. It is used since the times of Charaka and Sushruta, since 2000 years. It is very beneficial to improve gastric health. Its root, leaf and fruit are used in many Ayurvedic medicines.
Katuki – Picrorrhiza kurroa – 50 mg – is a powerful Ayurvedic herb used in treating mainly chronic fever, skin disorders and diabetes. It is also used in purgation (Virechana Panchakarma) procedure.
Sugar – q.s.

Side effects

Side effects of Feverend Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
This product is not suitable for people with diabetes.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
