Fevcon Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Fevcon Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sagar Pharmaceuticals. It is a well-known classical compound preparation used in fevers of various etiologies. 

Indications

Indication of Fevcon Tablet:
All fevers including PUO – pyrexia of unknown origin

It can be combined with Nasollerin Capsules in case of fever accompanied with severe cold.

Dosage

Dosage of Fevcon Tablet:
2 tablets 3 times a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Fevcon Tablet:
Each tablet contains –
Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum – 250 mg – Kantakari is a very useful Ayurvedic herb, used widely in the treatment of cough, cold, asthma and such other respiratory tract conditions. It is one among Dashamoola – group of ten roots.
Kiratatikta – Swertia Chirayita– 250 mg – Kiratatikta is a very famous Ayurvedic herb used mainly in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory conditions like fever, skin diseases etc. The word meaning of Kirata tikta is – utterly bitter.
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 50 mg – ginger rhizome
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 100 mg – Indian tinospora
Bala – Sida cordifolia – 40 mg
Ananda bhairava rasa – 25 mg – Anand Bhairav Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form. It is used in the treatment of acute and chronic fever, diarrhoea, rheumatoid arthritis etc

Side effects

Side effects of Fevcon Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
