Femolix Capsule: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Femolix Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Agrigold Health Care. Femolix Tablet is a remedy for gynecological  complaints such as painful periods with heavy bleeding. 

Indications

Indication of Femolix Capsule:
Menorrhagia
Metrorrhagia
Dysmenorrhea
Oligomenorrhoea
Leucorrhoea
Irregular menstrual cycles

Dosage

Dosage of Femolix Capsule:
1-2 capsules twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Femolix Capsule:
Each capsule contains –
Kumari – Aloe vera – 25 mg
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 75 mg
Asoka – Saraca indica – 50 mg
Haridra – Curcuma longa – 35 mg
Draksha – Vitis vinifera – 50 mg
Shatavari – Asperagus racemosus – 30 mg
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 50 mg
Lodhra – Symplocos cocinchinensis – 30 mg
Jeeraka – Cuminum cyminum – 25 mg
Sahadevi – Vernonia cinerea – 25 mg – It is a herb mentioned in the ayurvedic pharmacopoeia for the treatment of fever, localized swelling, wounds, renal calculi, skin diseases and elephantiasis. It is called Purple feabane in English.

Dry extract powders –
Haridra – Curcuma longa – 40 mg – Turmeric is one of the very useful and famous Ayurvedic herbs. It is used in many forms and through many routes of administration, such as – nasal, oral, over the skin etc.
Shatavari – Asperagus racemosus – 20 mg
Lodhra – Symplocos cocinchinensis – 20 mg

Side effects

Side effects of Femolix Capsule:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
