Femiplex Tablet Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Femiplex Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Charak Pharmaceuticals. Femiplex Tablet is the silver coated natural vaginal astringent. It is used for the treatment of recurrent vaginitis and leucorrhoea. 

Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina. It can be due to trichomoniasis, bacterial or an yeast infection. Vaginitis causes discharge, itching and pain. The main symptoms of vaginitis include vaginal itching, irritation, pain, foul smell discharge and painful urination.

Femiplex has anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and immunity enhancer properties.

Uses

Benefits of femiplex Tablet:
It contains potent astringents like Asoka and Lodhra, which arrests excessive vaginal discharge.
Gokshura, Madayanthika, Daruharidra, Guduchi make it anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and immunity enhancing.

It gives relief in itching and burning vagina.
It treats vaginal infection.

Indications

Indication of Femiplex Tablet:
Vaginal infection & inflammation.
Leucorrhoea/excessive vaginal discharge due to fungal/bacterial/protozoal infection.
Abnormal/excessive vaginal discharge associated with pregnancy.
Recurrent vaginitis.

Dosage

Dosage of Femiplex Tablet:
1-2 tablets twice or thrice a day with water, till infection is cured or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Kankola – Piper cubeba – 6.48 mg
Muktashukti bhasma – 5.4 mg – Mukta Sukti Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine prepared from Pearl Oyster. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of abdominal colic, gastritis, anorexia, etc
Asoka – Saraca indica – 4.32 mg
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – 4.32 mg

Udumbara – Ficus glomerata – 4.32 mg
Godanti bhasma – 4.32 mg – Godanti Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine, prepared from Gypsum. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of headache, Chronic Fever, leucorrhea etc.
Ulatkambal – Abroma augusta – 4.32 mg

Shalmali – Salmalia malabarica – 4.32 mg
Dhanyaka – Coriandrum sativum – 3.24 mg
Dhataki – Woodfordia fruticosa – 3.24 mg
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 3.24 mg

Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s:-
Maintain good hygiene of vaginal area.
If you find any discharge or itching, take medical advice immediately.
Wear under garments which fit well and which absorb moisture, ex:-cotton.
Do eat balanced meals and healthy food, and get the right amount of sleep. Eat a nutritious meal rich in fresh vegetables and fruits.
Do take your medicine regularly. Your medicine won’t work if you only take it once a while.
Consumption of cow’s milk, cow’s ghee is useful.

Don’ts:-
Avoid high fat meals.
Excessive vaginal douching with strong chemicals is to be avoided, since it may cause harm.
Wearing of nylon undergarments can lead to inflammation & itching, so avoid them.

Side effects

Side effects of Femiplex Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
