Diapent Capsule: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Diapent Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Pentacare Pharmaceuticals. It optimizes blood sugar level, useful in diabetes mellitus. 

Indications

Indication of Diapent Capsule:
Diabetes mellitus
Diabetic carbuncles

Dose

Dosage of Diapent Capsule:
1-2 capsules twice or thrice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Triphala  – Embelica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica – 100 mg
Trikatu – Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, Piper nigrum – 100 mg
Haridra – Curcuma longa – 100 mg
Daruharidra  – Berberis aristata – 100 mg
Guduchi  – Tinospor acordifolia – 100 mg
Karanja  – Pongamia pinnata – 100 mg
Musta  – Cyperus rotundus – 100 mg
Usheera  – Vetiveria zizanioides – 100 mg
Lodhra  – Symplocos racemosa – 100 mg
Gokshura  – Tribulus terrestris – 100 mg
Nimba  – Azadira chtaindica – 100 mg
Punarnava  – Boerhaavia diffusa – 100 mg
Manjista  – Rubia cordifolia – 100 mg
Karavellaka  – Momordica charantia – 100 mg
Patra  – Cinnamomum tamala – 100 mg – Tejpatra- Cinnamomum tamala is an ayurvedic herb mentioned for the treatment of bad odor from mouth, black spots on the face, dental caries, swelling, cough and in complications of tuberculosis.
Bhunimba – Andrographis paniculata – 100 mg
Saptarangi – Salacia reticulata – 100 mg
Madhunashini – Gymnema sylvestre – 500 mg
Methika – Trigonella foenum graecum – 500 mg
Vidanga – Embelica ribes – 500 mg
Jambu – Syzygium cumini – 500 mg
Parnabeeja – Bryophyllum pinnatum – 500 mg – Parnabeeja- Bryophyllum pinnatum (Lam.) Kurz. is a herb used for the treatment of wounds, ulcers, piles and to control bleeding.

Side effects

Side effects of Diapent Capsule:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
over dosage may cause lowered blood sugar level.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
