Dianil Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Dianil Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Anjani Pharmaceuticals. It is an anti-diarrhoeal formulation, also used in treating dysentery.  

Uses

Indications

Indication of Dianil Tablet:
Diarrhea
Dysentery
Bacillary dysentery
Amoebic dysentery
Mucous colitis
Spasmoidic pain of abdomen
Angina abdominis

Dose

Dosage of Dianil Tablet:
1-2 tablets with water thrice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Ingredients of Dianil Tablet:
Kapardika bhasma
– 50 mg – Kapardika Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine, prepared from Cowries. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of indigestion, boils, Pitta diseases etc.
Sarjarasa – Shorea robusta – 50 mg – Sal Tree is known as Shala in Ayurveda. Used in treating non healing wounds, diabetes, boils, deafness etc. Its resin, bark, sap wood, oil etc are used for various therapeutic purposes.
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 50 mg – Ginger rhizome
Pippali – Piper longum – 50 mg – Long pepper
Avartani – Helicteres isora – 50 mg – Helicteres isora – East Indian Screw tree is an Ayurvedic herb used in treating diarrhea, dysentery, abdominal colic pain, intestinal parasites etc. Its root,stem bark, fruits are used for medicinal purposes.
Bilva – Aegle armelos – 50 mg – Bael root
Shukla jeeraka – Cuminum cyminum – 50 mg – Cumin seeds
Mishreya – Foeniculum vulgare – 50 mg
Chitraka – Plumbago zeylanica – 50 mg – Leadwort
Kutaja – Holarrhena antidysentrica – 100 mg

Side effects

Side effects of Dianil Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
