Dentone Tooth Powder: Benefits, How To Use, Ingredients, Side Effects

Dentone Tooth Powder is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Amrita Drugs. It is a cleansing powder for oral cavity including teeth and gums and treating the diseases of the same. It adds a cosmetic value to smile. 

Ingredients

Ingredients of Dentone Tooth Powder:
Each 10 g contains –
Twak  –  Cinnamomum Zeylanicum  –  4.65 g – cinnamon
Shuddha Sphatika  – Potash alum – 18.60 g – Alum – It is useful in abdominal pain, Pneumonia, low back ache, Dry cough, Chronic bronchial diseases, haematemesis, menorrhagia, leucoderma, Visarpa, etc.
Shuddha Samudraphena  – Cuttle fish bone  – 18.60 g
Shuddha bhallataka  –  Semecarpus Anacardium  – 13.95 g
Shuddha khatika – Calcium Carbonate  –  37.20 g
Lavanga  – Syzygium Aromaticum  – 4.65 g – Clove – it gives fresh aroma to the breathe and relieves painful gums.
Karpoora  – Cinnamomum Camphora  – 2.35 g – Camphor

Uses

Indication of Dentone Tooth Powder:
Spongy, swollen, painful and bleeding gums.
Shaky, sensitive, painful teeth.
Foul breath (halitosis), plaque formation, loss of taste.
In diabetics who have a general tendency to accumulate plaque.
Discoloration of teeth in smokers and alcoholics.

Direction for use and duration of use

Direction for use of Dentone Tooth Powder:
Massage gently on gums and apply on teeth twice a day. Half a teaspoon of it can be taken over a tooth brush and it can be used for brushing.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects

Side effects of Dentone Tooth Powder:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
