Decazyme Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Decazyme Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sagar Pharmaceuticals. It is a powerful digestive in an easy form of administration. 

Ingredients

Ingredients of Decazyme Tablet:
Each un-coated tablet contains –
Trikatu – Ginger, pepper and long pepper fruit
Pippali -Piper longum – 15 mg – Long pepper fruit
Shunti -Zingiber officinale – 15 mg – Ginger rhizome
Maricha -Piper nigrum – 15 mg – Black pepper – Black pepper has not got its well deserving credit. It certainly is not just another spice. It removes toxins conditions, heals, stimulates organs. It is also used as antidote in insect bites. It is one among the three ingredients of very important Ayurvedic medicine – Trikatu.

Ela – Elettaria cardamomum – 15 mg – cardamom
Chitraka -Plumbago zeylanica – 20 mg – Leadwort root
Jeeraka -Cuminum cyminum – 20 mg – Cumin seeds
Amalaki -Embelica officinalis – 25 mg – Amla – Indian gooseberry
Vacha -Acorus calamus – 50 mg – Sweet flag rhizome
Rasona -Allium sativum – 50 mg – Garlic

Kapardika bhasma –  15 mg – Kapardika Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine, prepared from Cowries. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of indigestion, boils, Pitta diseases etc. This medicine should only be taken strictly under medical supervision.

Indication

Indication of Decazyme Tablet:
Anorexia
Loss of appetite
Indigestion
Flatulence
Colicky pain
Gastritis, hyperacidity

Dose and duration of use

Dosage of Decazyme Tablet:
1-2 tablets thrice a day, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects

Side effects of Decazyme Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
